The Loverdes’ Community Action

Joe Loverde serves on the board of the Catonsville Community College Foundation. The board’s most recent, significant fundraising effort has been for the renovation of the historic Hilton Mansion located on the grounds of the Catonsville Campus. Joe has co-chaired the college’s annual golf tournament to raise money for scholarships, and has held annual dances to benefit student athletic scholarships.

Joe is a member of the Elkridge Rotary Club. He is a past board member and president of ReVisions Foundation, a nonprofit community health organization, now known as Mosaic after a merger with Sheppard Pratt. He has served on the boards of the Baltimore County Commission of Arts & Sciences, Parents and Children Acting Together (PACT) and the Howard County Arts Council.

In 2005-2006, Joe chaired the board of managers of the YMCA Western Family Branch, where he helped launch the YMCA’s successful $1.5 million capital campaign to rebuild the 35-year-old facility and campus on Rolling Road. For two years, he led the major gifts team for the annual Strong Kids Campaign, a scholarship program to help local families send their children to the pre-school, day care, and other YMCA programs.

The Catonsville Community College Foundation, for which Joe Loverde is a board member, has successfully raised funds for the renovation of the landmark  Hilton Mansion on its campus.
